Eight Years blankTON recordings – revised and expanded – a snapshot of a bygone era

A jubilee for a jubilee: Four years after the release of “Eight Years blankTON recordings”, a slightly revised edition is now being released, expanded with a third part. It also marks the end of a phase in which artist development was at the heart of blankTON recordings.

Most of the acts featured on the compilation are no longer active today or are operating in a different form. Some were only part of blankTON for a short time or in a more peripheral capacity and are therefore not represented here at all.

“Eight Years blankTON recordings” is a snapshot of the era 2014–2022: a period in which the label, very much in the spirit of the independent labels of the 1990s, brought together a range of different acts and styles. The common denominator was artistic integrity and a certain level of ambition.

Now “Eight Years blankTON recordings” is being released once again – exclusively on Bandcamp and in three parts:

All three parts are available now on Bandcamp – €4 each, or more if you wish.

The CD edition – Gold and Red, each on one CD in a beautiful, plastic-free 6-panel gatefold sleeve featuring the complete artwork by the wonderful Diana Deu – is now only available as remaining stock.
