Mikka Blank on FM4 Liquid Radio: Fall 2024 Edition – revised Winter 2026 Version

Originally broadcast in autumn 2024 on Radio FM4, I revisited the mix later and took out a few tracks that, in retrospect, didn’t quite belong.

The result is an even darker, more experimental mix – perhaps more autumnal than anything I had done before this very long pause in DJing and producing – and closer to how I personally feel about the music I love. Without really planning it, this mix became a starting point for me and blankTON to move in a slightly different direction from what we had done before.

It’s a collection of fine tracks that accompanied me throughout 2024 and still resonate with me today. At best, when you make a mix like this, intertwining, manipulating and recontextualising tracks, something new comes into being. It felt good to do another mix after a longer break, and I’m grateful to everyone who listened back then — and perhaps to those discovering this new version now.

I still feel that none of these tracks will get old anytime soon.

And always remember: everything will be OK.
